House of Honey Comes to 8500 Sunset

8500 Sunset is engaged in a sweet partnership with House of Honey. The award-winning and internationally fitrenowned design studio is creating inspired model residences, designing and curating the art in the lobbies and
elevator corridors. The designers’ mission? “Inspiring and evocative experiences that leave a lasting imprint.”

Creative Director Tamara Kaye-Honey is collaborating with local artisans on one-of-a-kind installations. “Looking to both the Hollywood Hills and the stunning L.A. skyline, our design is inspired by the juxtaposition between the natural and the constructed landscapes that define our city.”

House of Honey will evoke Hollywood drama and whimsy, she said, and revealed the project artisans: They include Katy Ann Gilmore, Brit Kleinman, (wh)OREHAüS STUDIOS and EGE. “Moving into the resident corridors, our design takes advantage of the building’s striking architecture, allowing for special moments that infuse the space with soul and energy,” said Kaye-Honey. “We look forward to ushering residents home to 8500
Sunset, and enhancing their experience living in a place unlike anywhere else in the city.”

Since then, it’s been her launch pad to world travels. She always returns to what she loves  here, including concerts at the Bowl and Greek Theater and the thrill of L.A. Kings games. In fact, Tab is a lover of outdoor sports, including hiking, biking and swimming.
“I love exploring the world, and engaging with new cultures,” she says. “My number-one place to revisit is Switzerland because of the beauty of the mountains, lakes and untouched nature…” where she enjoys skiing and standup paddleboarding. And yet, continental hot-spots in Italy, France and Germany are just a couple hours away.
Yes, Tab’s passion for places takes her around the world. She says, “Although I travel around the world I never need to explain where West Hollywood is. And now I have the privilege of working on the first new residences on the Sunset Strip, with the mountains above and the city below. This truly is one of the most exciting places in the world.”
